The Brief

Creatures, food, people and buildings all intertwine into the given brief of ‘The Coast’. I brainstormed these initial ideas onto a mind map which will no doubt prove useful when thinking of ideas to explore. Thinking of these ideas before the project began gave me a clear idea of what inside topics I would like to explore and what outcomes I might like to developed from the research. The Coast has great potential in illustrative and advertisement outcomes. I will be looking at many different artists which create work relevant to the coast and it's surroundings. I am most intrigued by the aspect of food illustration because I believe it can be developed into many different kinds merchandise such as: Sweet packaging, food/ sweet bags, bunting and key rings. These ideas include materials and mediums too which is what will make my work progress and advance. My confident digital work using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator will often be used, I will be improving and expanding my knowledge to a high standard which will make my work visually professional and successful. Once my work samples are drawn and designed I will be constantly reviewing and refining these logos, illustrations or stitch elements so that my work is pursued into the best outcomes. Creating a distinctive illustration or logo will enable me to create more outcomes which involve the logo or illustration. I aim to focus widely on the advertisement element of graphics which means research and experiments will be vital to succeed with refined and meaningful work. By reviewing the artists and work that I research and create I will be able to recognize my strengths and what is most effective to the topic. A final outcome will be made as a representative of all the mini outcomes and evidence of how my work was continued and developed into a strong, worthwhile piece.
